3 Often Missed Spring Cleaning Tasks

A change of seasons brings an opportunity to refresh your home. We all know the basic household tasks that get us there-- dusting furniture, decluttering closets, cleaning carpets... but there are some things we often miss!

Don't forget to add these three tasks to your spring cleaning checklist!

1. Clean window screens and tracks: Window screens and tracks can collect dust and debris over time, especially after a fall of falling leaves and windy winter days. Use a vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove loose debris, and then hose off the screens and scrub tracks with a solution of warm water and mild detergent.

2. Deep clean appliances: Appliances like the refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher can accumulate a lot of grime and grease over time. Take the time to remove and clean the shelves and drawers in your refrigerator, wipe down the inside of your oven, and clean the filter and interior of your dishwasher.

3. Dust and clean light fixtures: Light fixtures can collect a surprising amount of dust and grime, which can impact the quality of the light they produce. Use a soft cloth or duster to remove dust and cobwebs from light fixtures, and clean any glass covers or shades with warm, soapy water or a glass spray.
