Tinto de Verano

It's July and we're in the heart of summer! Tinto de Verano is a popular Spanish drink that translates to "Red Wine of Summer." It's the more simplistic, but just as delicious cousin to Sangria. It's refreshing and simple and is perfect to enjoy on your back patio this summer:

INGREDIENTS:

1 bottle (750 ml) of young and fruity red wine

750 ml of lemon/lime-flavored soda

1 orange sliced

1 lemon slice

6oz sweet vermouth (optional)

Ice cubes

DIRECTIONS:

Uncork the wine and pour it into a large pitcher. Add the soda and stir gently. Add the lemon and orange slices, as well as the vermouth if using. Serve over ice and enjoy! SALUD!
